“I am utterly disgusted... I strongly feel that this is an insult to
life itself.” -Hayao Miyazaki
In recent times there has been a mass scraping of images online into
AI based databases containing millions of artists work, this is most
clear through the frequent incoherent signatures you will find in AI
art
These signatures while they say nothing are proof of artists work
being taken, as their signatures are all noticed and combined by the
AI stealing said art
While morally there remain many issues regarding the theft of art
for its use in AI databases, recently there has been a large concern
regarding the way in which art all over has been put into these
databases. The largest example of this is how Meta has
autommatically put artists sharing thier work in their databases and
hiddden opt out through an overly confusing system. Now however,
there has been a push for many artists to move onto the new platform
below: Cara
Cara has quckly grown in its user base past 300 thousand users.
Cara is a purely anti AI platform and uses Glaze in order to protect
its artists!
